At 14, Martin travelled to America and was inspired by his cousin, an accountant, with a high regard for money, Martin naturally gravitated into business and finance and in 1986 graduated with a commerce degree from University of New South Wales. Quickly landing a job with Arthur Young now industry giant Ernst & Young and completing his final year to become a Chartered Accountant in 1989.

He soon realised his passion was to help clients create wealth rather than just reporting it, and so in 1992 he embarked on a career in financial planning. July 1995, MASU Group was borne in partnership with Suren Pather with an economics law background, their aim was to establish a holistic practice as at that time the industry was mainly run by insurance agents, they were focused on creating a strategic firm.

MASU Group was also one of the first practices to incorporate property as part of their client services.  Today, MASU Group has its own AFSL, Credit Licence and Real Estate Licences with over 25 Authorised Representatives in NSW, QLD and WA and soon in SA. 

Martin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Accounting and Finance, is a chartered accountant, licensed Real Estate agent as well as a registered tax agent and certified planner.
